Two thirds say down with doilies!

While there’s still plenty of campaign time left, the Pro Doily Party is confident that it will win the B&B industry’s Doily Decision 2012 by a landslide vote.  In a recent Better Way To Stay poll, the No Doily party was ahead in the voting, taking 67-percent of votes to date vs. 33-percent for the Pro Doily Party offering optimism for the No Doily Party that its agenda to liberate today’s furniture at inns and B&Bs will be realized.  “While there’s still time for swing voters to change their minds, it looks like the final tally could be a landslide for the No Doily party,” commented pollster and political pundit, Evenon Lace.

“We are confident that the majority of votes for the Pro-Doily Party signifies a move toward a contemporary style, free from ornamental cover-ups and doily deceit,” said Pro-Doily party leader, Ima Modernist. “We are moving forward with our agenda to liberate our furniture from antiquities and look forward to an innovative agenda of recycling doilies to create building materials for allies in third world countries,” finished Modernist.

Upon initial contact, the No Doily party had no comment on the current status of the voting, although they issued a statement recently reiterating their commitment to the doily proud.  “The Pro Doily party will not be swayed by polls or pre-election day antics. We reiterate our commitment to doily loyalists, and remain confident that swing voters will carry the party in the end,” said I.C. Vintage.
